PETITE ELITES

The Petite Elite Program is designed for ages 3 and 4.  Each age division has their own separate class time.  This is a fun, exciting and structured class that is designed to develop basic dance fundamentals in a multi-sensory learning environment.  Petite Elites encourages imagination and expression through movement.  All students have the option to perform in the Elite Dance Force Annual Year End Dance Production.

Engaging in dance at the ages of 3 and 4 can provide numerous developmental benefits for children. At this stage of early childhood, dance serves as a holistic and enjoyable activity that contributes to physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

Physical Development: Dance helps enhance gross motor skills, coordination, and balance. Children learn to control their bodies and develop muscle strength, flexibility, and spatial awareness through various movements and routines.

Cognitive Skills: Dancing involves memorizing steps, patterns, and sequences, fostering cognitive development. Children improve their memory, concentration, and cognitive abilities as they follow instructions and remember dance routines.

Social Interaction: Participation in dance classes introduces children to group dynamics, cooperation, and teamwork. It provides a structured setting for socializing, sharing, and taking turns, promoting positive social interactions and communication skills.

Emotional Expression: Dance allows children to express themselves creatively and emotionally. Through movement, they learn to communicate feelings and ideas, boosting their self-awareness and self-esteem. It serves as a non-verbal outlet for emotional expression.

Discipline and Focus: Dance classes instill a sense of discipline and focus as children learn to follow instructions, listen to music, and maintain attention throughout the session. These skills contribute to improved concentration and self-control.

Cultural Awareness: Exposure to different dance styles introduces children to various cultures, fostering an appreciation for diversity. This early exposure helps them develop an open-minded perspective and an understanding of different traditions.

Recreational

The Recreational Program offers classes to students between the ages of 5 and 16. Classes are offered in ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. The recreational program is great for a dancer that wants to have fun while being physically active.  The program is structured as a light commitment.  Dancers will learn fundamental dance technique and have the option to perform in the EDF Year End Annual Dance Production.

Recreational dance offers a myriad of benefits to children and youth, contributing to their overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Engaging in dance enhances physical fitness by promoting cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Moreover, it fosters a sense of discipline and perseverance as young dancers work to master choreography and improve their skills.

Beyond the physical aspect, dance provides a creative outlet, allowing children to express themselves, build self-confidence, and develop a positive body image. It also promotes teamwork, cooperation, and interpersonal skills, fostering a sense of community and friendship.

Additionally, participating in dance is a cathartic experience that allows for stress reduction, improved mood, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Overall, recreational dance not only nurtures physical development but also plays a crucial role in nurturing holistic personal growth in children and youth.

Testimonials

EDF has been our dance family for the past 9 years. The entire faculty is committed to making sure each dancer reaches their potential, while instilling the importance of work ethic and team work. From mini dancers to seniors, the leadership skills that are learned throughout the years are outstanding. We are proud to be a part of the EDF family!

Cindy Spina

We are fortunate to be part of the Elite Dance Force "Family". Our daughter is a changed person since she entered the studio as a 4 year old and has been dancing since. EDF has fueled her love for dance and given her so many opportunities to enhance her skills, compete at higher levels out of town competitions and assist in teaching the younger dancers. EDF is a family oriented atmosphere, with outstanding facilitators and choreographers who have the ability to inspire all ages. We feel safe having her in the studio with so many friends and adult supervision. We can see her learning so much on the dance floor, but more importantly a positive attitude, respect and kindness to others. There can not be anyone happier, than our daughter, when she is dancing.

The Gagnon Family, SSM

My girls love everything about being Elite Dance Force dancers. They feel very connected to their studio and are learning the best lessons in responsibility, work ethic, fitness, and teamwork. Kaitlin and Christina have created a supportive culture that encourages high energy and perseverance. We are so happy to be part of this amazing dance family!

Erin, SSM

We were fortunate to join the Elite Dance Force family when my daughter was 18 months old in the Dance with Me class. Since that time the amazing teachers at Elite have welcomed us and fuelled my daughters passion for dance. The teachers are all so talented, kind, and patient. They make the classes so much fun that my daughter wishes she could go to dance everyday. We look forward to being a part of the Elite Dance Force family for many years to come

Lindsay, SSM

It's hard to put into words what this dance studio means to us. We have been with Elite Dance Force since its inception 10 years ago. We truly didn't know what we were getting ourselves into, but I mean it when I say this was the best decision of our lives thus far. My daughter has and will continue to learn about discipline, work ethic, time management, perseverance and teamwork at the highest level with this faculty. Their level of expertise models their expectations and it benefits these students in so many ways. Above all else, this studio exemplifies: kindness, hard work, love, appreciation and I'm most thankful for the grace they given in allowing mistakes to happen. When my dancer was asked what Elite Dance Force means to her, she replied with 'Kind, welcoming, friendly, encouraging, never giving up, giving your best, super supportive, caring'.
If you're looking for a dance community, Elite Dance Force embodies that. They. Are. Family. We are so grateful to be a part of it"
